As the Executive Director, Corporate Group Sales at Hilton, Shawn leads a team of 19 sales professionals who manage over 650 accounts, primarily comprised of Fortune 500 companies. Shawn is extremely proud to join Hilton, the #1 Best Company to Work For in the U.S. (Fortune), in this momentous 100th year anniversary.
Upon completion of his MBA at Emory University, Shawn entered the hospitality industry a little over ten years ago with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). During his IHG tenure, he held several positions including roles leading New Business Development, Third Party Intermediary, and Government Sales.
Shawn recently completed a two-year term as a member of the GBTA Accommodations Committee and he was recently named as one of the newest members of the GBTA Meetings Committee.
As a mentee of the GBTA Ladders program in its inaugural year, Shawn had the great fortune of learning under the tutelage of industry veterans and alongside the future thought leaders of the industry. Serving as a co-lead of the Alumni Advisors
program during the 2017-18 season was a great opportunity to build a bridge for mentees to continued volunteer engagement.
On a personal note… while Shawn’s days on the gridiron as a member of the 2001 Ivy League Champion Harvard Football team are a fond distant memory, he has still found a way to entertain audiences by moonlighting as a saxophonist with his band ‘6 Flow’ in Atlanta.
